Seretta

It started with a simple wave across the yard

Two neighbors who would talk when life was getting hard

You stepped right in to help me when my hands were tied

Doing things I couldn't do, just standing by my side

You showed me what it means to have someone who cares

A constant kind of presence when I needed you right there

Seretta, I am blessed to have you in my life

A steady place to land through all the joy and strife

You always sit and listen till the story's at the end

God made us friends, and I wish you the best, my faithful friend

We traded front yard fences for the open road

Taking little day trips just to lighten up the load

You always bring the laughter, you're so fun to be around

Whenever we're together, there's a comfort to be found

You carry my confessions in a quiet, safe embrace

And always manage just to put a smile upon my face

Seretta, I am blessed to have you in my life

A steady place to land through all the joy and strife

You always sit and listen till the story's at the end

God made us friends, and I wish you the best, my faithful friend

I cherish all the fun we've had, the places we have seen

And I look forward to the miles that wait for you and me

There is nothing in this world that I wouldn't do for you

Because a heart like yours is beautiful and true

Seretta, I am blessed to have you in my life

A steady place to land through all the joy and strife

You always sit and listen till the story's at the end

God made us friends, and I wish you the best, my faithful friend

Yes, I know God made us friends, and I wish you the best always
