Havanah

Mommy and Daddy loved you before we knew your name

The moment that we found out, nothing was the same

We tried to catch a glimpse of you upon that little screen

But you kept hiding your face, our little mystery

Then the day you finally came, the clouds just rolled away

The best day in the world, our lives began that day

Oh, Havanah, you’re smart as a whip

With a tender heart and a loving spirit

You’re beautiful, caring, inside and out

The greatest blessing we could ever talk about

We thank the Lord we get to be your mother and your dad

Watching you grow is the best time we’ve ever had

You look just like your mama, and you act just like her too

Calm and so respectful in everything you do

But we know not to push it, or cross that little line

'Cause when you get mad, you'll tell us off every single time

You've got a fire in your soul that we just can't help but love

A perfect little balance sent down from above

Oh, Havanah, you’re smart as a whip

With a tender heart and a loving spirit

You’re beautiful, caring, inside and out

The greatest blessing we could ever talk about

We thank the Lord we get to be your mother and your dad

Watching you grow is the best time we’ve ever had

Every stray and little creature finds a friend in you

You love all the animals, your gentle soul shines through

From the baby on the screen to the girl you've come to be

You are our whole world, Havanah, plain to see

Oh, Havanah, you’re smart as a whip

With a tender heart and a loving spirit

You’re beautiful, caring, inside and out

The greatest blessing we could ever talk about

We thank the Lord we get to be your mother and your dad

Watching you grow is the best time we’ve ever had

Yeah, watching you grow is the best time we've ever had
