Allen

You’ve got a controller in your hand, beating every stage

Always doing great in school, turning every page

Running wild out in the yard, playing in the breeze

Making friends with animals, gentle as you please

Oh, Allen, hold your head up high

Find the courage in your soul, don't be afraid to fly

Whenever you doubt it, just look inside and see

You are strong, you are smart, you're who you're meant to be

Believe in yourself right from the start

You've got a big world waiting for that brave heart

I remember autumn days out at the pumpkin farm

Picking out the perfect one, heavy in your arms

Then the summer rolled around, splashing at the water park

Racing down the tallest slide right until the dark

Oh, Allen, hold your head up high

Find the courage in your soul, don't be afraid to fly

Whenever you doubt it, just look inside and see

You are strong, you are smart, you're who you're meant to be

Believe in yourself right from the start

You've got a big world waiting for that brave heart

When we pack the car and head up north to Mackinaw

Standing by the water's edge, staring out in awe

I see the boy you are today, growing mile by mile

I just want you to face this life with that same fearless smile

So Allen, hold your head up high

Find the courage in your soul, don't be afraid to fly

Whenever you doubt it, just look inside and see

You are strong, you are smart, you're who you're meant to be

Believe in yourself right from the start

You've got a big world waiting for that brave heart

Yeah, a big world waiting for my son's brave heart
