Ceasar

A couple years ago, we were clocking in at work

You kept your head down, staying in your own world

So reserved and shy, barely said a single word

Carrying the weight of it all, unseen and unheard

I saw that heavy load resting on your shoulders

I just had to wait a while until the ice was broken

Ceasar, you’re a blessing to anyone you meet

You’ve got the biggest heart, so steady and so deep

When you love, you love so hard, never asking for a thing

Always putting others first, whatever life might bring

I love you so much, I just wish that you could see

The beautiful soul that you are to me

I wish you could see yourself the way I see you

We finally started talking, and the walls came tumbling down

Found out we shared a past, walking on the same ground

Now I read you like an open book, every single page

I know just what you need before the words escape

You're patient and you're caring, in a million different ways

You still carry that weight, but you thrive through the haze

Ceasar, you’re a blessing to anyone you meet

You’ve got the biggest heart, so steady and so deep

When you love, you love so hard, never asking for a thing

Always putting others first, whatever life might bring

I love you so much, I just wish that you could see

The beautiful soul that you are to me

I wish you could see yourself the way I see you

You never think about yourself, you just give and give

But you deserve to take a breath in this life you live

Remember you're a child of God, and He's right by your side

He is never going anywhere, in Him you can confide

You thrive in your own way, beautiful and true

I just want to shine a little love on you

'Cause Ceasar, you’re a blessing to anyone you meet

You’ve got the biggest heart, so steady and so deep

When you love, you love so hard, never asking for a thing

Always putting others first, whatever life might bring

I love you so much, I just wish that you could see

The beautiful soul that you are to me

I wish you could see yourself the way I see you

Yeah, I wish you could see yourself the way I see you
