Sara

My beautiful Sara, so lovely and smart

You carry such kindness inside of your heart

We sit at the salon, just getting our nails done

My sweet granddaughter, my favorite one

You're helpful and friendly to all that you meet

You make every day feel so vibrant and sweet

When I'm not here anymore, please don't you cry

Just look for my love in the changing sky

When it rains, it is me saying "I love you" aloud

When the sun is out, it's me hugging you through the cloud

Every day of your life, though we might be apart

I'll be taking care of you, right in your heart

We put on a movie to watch on the screen

But you talk your way through every single scene

You tell me the story before it can play

You spoil the ending, but hey, that's okay

You never stop talking, but I wouldn't trade

A single sweet word or the memories we've made

When I'm not here anymore, please don't you cry

Just look for my love in the changing sky

When it rains, it is me saying "I love you" aloud

When the sun is out, it's me hugging you through the cloud

Every day of your life, though we might be apart

I'll be taking care of you, right in your heart

We sit and tell stories of Memo for hours

We keep the past alive, watching it flower

These moments are treasures I hold in my chest

Just sharing this time with you, I am so blessed

You're beautiful inside and out, my sweet girl

You bring so much laughter and joy to my world

I might not be sitting right there on the couch

But I'll be the warmth that you feel in a touch

When I'm not here anymore, please don't you cry

Just look for my love in the changing sky

When it rains, it is me saying "I love you" aloud

When the sun is out, it's me hugging you through the cloud

Every day of your life, we will not be apart

I'm taking care of you, right in your heart
