Annie

To me and all my brothers, you're the backbone standing strong

Four boys and one daughter, you taught us right from wrong

A God-fearing mother with a heart so full of grace

Every soul who meets you sees the Spirit in your face

You carried us through trials, you held us in the light

Praying through the morning, trusting through the night

‘Cause you wait upon the Lord, and He renews your strength

You walk and never faint, no matter what the length

You soar on wings like eagles, rising high above

Annie, you’re our mother, our legacy of love

Isaiah forty, thirty-one, the scripture that you keep

A faith that moves the mountains, a love that runs so deep

Every summer at your house, the rooms are filled with joy

A haven for the family, every little girl and boy

You were there to witness when the grandkids came to be

Now great-grandbabies gather 'round your loving knee

The table's always open, the laughter fills the air

A matriarch of mercy, an answered family prayer

‘Cause you wait upon the Lord, and He renews your strength

You walk and never faint, no matter what the length

You soar on wings like eagles, rising high above

Annie, you’re our mother, our legacy of love

Isaiah forty, thirty-one, the scripture that you keep

A faith that moves the mountains, a love that runs so deep

Whatever came your way, whatever storm would blow

You anchored in the Word, it’s the only rock you know

You run and don't grow weary, you praise Him through the test

Because of your devotion, this family is blessed

Yes, you wait upon the Lord, and He renews your strength!

You walk and never faint, no matter what the length!

You soar on wings like eagles, rising high above

Annie, you’re our mother, our legacy of love

Isaiah forty, thirty-one, the scripture that you keep

You’re soaring on those eagle wings, a love that runs so deep!
