Debbie

You've got a laugh that can fill up a room

Chasing away every shadow and gloom

With your outgoing spirit, you talk to them all

Always the first one to answer the call

Debbie, you came and you changed how things were

Bringing the sunshine when life was a blur

They put the word "step" right in front of your name

But the love that you give me is one and the same

We're closer than anyone thought we could be

You're the beautiful piece that completed our tree

I love you, I mean it, right down to the bone

With you as my mom, I am never alone

We share all our secrets and laugh till we cry

Watching the years and the moments go by

You didn't have to, but you took my hand

Guiding me gently and helping me stand

You find the humor when times get too tough

I honestly can't say "thank you" enough

They put the word "step" right in front of your name

But the love that you give me is one and the same

We're closer than anyone thought we could be

You're the beautiful piece that completed our tree

I love you, I mean it, right down to the bone

With you as my mom, I am never alone

Some bonds are made out of blood from the start

But ours was built out of choosing a heart

You stepped right in and you made yourself home

The sweetest connection that I've ever known

They put the word "step" right in front of your name

But the love that you give me is one and the same

We're closer than anyone thought we could be

You're the beautiful piece that completed our tree

I love you, Debbie, right down to the bone

With you as my mom, I am never alone
