Jordan

You step into the classroom, carrying the morning light

Guiding kindergarten hearts, making their futures bright

You’re so incredibly smart, with a laugh that heals the soul

Watching you pour out your love makes a weary spirit whole

So when the season gets heavy, and the shadows start to fall

Remember you are held by the hands that made it all

Never give up the calling, keep walking in His grace

You've got this, my bestie, you're exactly in your place

I’m sweeping down the hallway, shining up the floors

Always finding my favorite moments right outside your doors

As your favorite custodian, I know I'm the lucky one

To be besties with a teacher who shines just like the sun

So when the season gets heavy, and the shadows start to fall

Remember you are held by the hands that made it all

Never give up the calling, keep walking in His grace

You've got this, my bestie, you're exactly in your place

Through every funny story, and every prayer we send

I see the joy of heaven in the spirit of my friend

The little minds you nurture will grow up strong and wide

Just keep on pressing forward with the Maker by your side

So when the season gets heavy, and the shadows start to fall

Remember you are held by the hands that made it all

Never give up the calling, keep walking in His grace

You've got this, Jordan, you're exactly in your place

Keep your faith in the journey, you're exactly in your place
