Michael

It was just the two of us from your very first breath

My only child, the heartbeat inside my chest

A single mother doing all that I could do

Pouring every ounce of love I had right into you

We faced the heavy weather, the struggles and the cold

But watching you grow up was a beauty to behold

Oh, Michael, look at the mountains we moved

Through every single hardship, look at what we proved

You never forget the sacrifices that I made

But your perseverance meant our hope would never fade

We held on tight, standing unbreakable

Because with God, all things are possible

Life didn't hand you an easy road to walk

But you showed your strength in the way you live and talk

Such a patient spirit, a compassionate soul

Even when the hard times tried to take a heavy toll

Now I see the loving father that you've grown to be

Passing down the grace that you always showed to me

Oh, Michael, look at the mountains we moved

Through every single hardship, look at what we proved

You never forget the sacrifices that I made

But your perseverance meant our hope would never fade

We held on tight, standing unbreakable

Because with God, all things are possible

You thank me for the nights I stayed awake to see you through

But son, the greatest gift of my whole life is raising you

We made it through the fire, side by side and hand in hand

And now on solid ground is exactly where we stand

Oh, Michael, look at the mountains we moved

Through every single hardship, look at what we proved

You never forget the sacrifices that I made

But your quiet strength is what kept us unafraid

We made it through the dark, forever unbreakable

Because with God, all things are possible

Yeah, with God, all things are possible
