Ronnie

We sat and talked of Jesus, salvation and the Word

On Auntie Brenda's birthday, the sweetest truths I heard

You work so hard each morning, with a humble, quiet soul

Letting God direct your steps to make your spirit whole

Oh, there is eternal life in Christ, a love that has no end

He heals the brokenhearted, He’s your Savior and your friend

He finds the hurt and sorrow, He holds you when you cry

God has a wonderful plan for you, just trust Him by and by

Surrender to His mercy, let Him lead you through the night

You are eternally loved, Ronnie, walking in His light

I love to see you smiling when Sarita wants to play

A loving, gentle father, guiding her along the way

With Shonda right there by your side, sharing in this life

Cheering on your Raiders, letting go of worldly strife

Oh, there is eternal life in Christ, a love that has no end

He heals the brokenhearted, He’s your Savior and your friend

He finds the hurt and sorrow, He holds you when you cry

God has a wonderful plan for you, just trust Him by and by

Surrender to His mercy, let Him lead you through the night

You are eternally loved, Ronnie, walking in His light

You’ve walked through shadowed valleys, saying goodbye to your son

We bowed our heads in prayer when your grandmother's race was won

Through the tears and heavy sorrow, your resilience shines so clear

The Lord is binding up your wounds, He is always standing near

Oh, there is eternal life in Christ, a love that has no end

He heals the brokenhearted, He’s your Savior and your friend

He finds the hurt and sorrow, He holds you when you cry

God has a wonderful plan for you, just trust Him by and by

Surrender to His mercy, let Him lead you through the night

You are eternally loved, Ronnie, forever in His light
