Citique

Forty-nine years of seasons passing by

Living our lives beneath the same blue sky

I didn't know the blessing waiting down the road

Until the day His holy mercy flowed

To look into your eyes and finally see

The beautiful soul that God brought home to me

After all this time, the waiting ends in grace

Seeing the love of Jesus on your face

Oh, Citique, I thank the Lord above

For the day He wrapped us in His love

God moved in circles, mysterious and sweet

And now, at last, our circle is complete

What a gift from heaven, what a perfect picture

Thank you for letting me be your big sister

You walk in faith, believing in the Word

With the sweetest spirit that I’ve ever heard

Your beauty shines right from the inside out

A child of Christ, leaving no room for doubt

We missed some yesterdays, but we have today

Guided together by the Maker's way

He held our hands though we were miles apart

And placed you right here, safely in my heart

Oh, Citique, I thank the Lord above

For the day He wrapped us in His love

God moved in circles, mysterious and sweet

And now, at last, our circle is complete

What a gift from heaven, what a perfect picture

Thank you for letting me be your big sister

To meet you for the first time, face to face

Was stepping right into His holy grace

He held us in His timing, He knew the very day

To wash those forty-nine long years away

Hallelujah for the family bond we share

An answer to a quiet, lifelong prayer

Oh, Citique, I thank the Lord above

For the day He wrapped us in His love

God moved in circles, mysterious and sweet

And now, at last, our circle is complete

What a gift from heaven, what a perfect picture

Thank you for letting me be your big sister

Yes, God moved in circles, and the circle is complete

Thank you for letting me be your big sister
