Leslie

Leslie, with a quiet grace

You walk beside me in the night

I see the kindness in your face

You guide me gently to the light

You bear my burdens, firm and true

Longsuffering in all you do

So patient when the shadows fall

A loving sister through it all

For He sent His Word and healed my soul

He reached into the dark and made me whole

From all my destructions, He delivered me

He broke the heavy chains and set me free

I lift my voice to heaven above

Thankful for His mercy and a sister's love

We are sisters, bound by faith

Through every valley, side by side

You kept me steady in the wait

A steadfast friend, a faithful guide

You never rushed my weary heart

But held my hand when things fell apart

Your gentle spirit helped me see

The way the Lord was rescuing me

For He sent His Word and healed my soul

He reached into the dark and made me whole

From all my destructions, He delivered me

He broke the heavy chains and set me free

I lift my voice to heaven above

Thankful for His mercy and a sister's love

Out of the ruins, out of the pain

The light of His promise is shining again

The storms have surrendered, the battles are won

I stand in the glory of what He has done!

Yes, He sent His Word and healed my soul

He reached into the dark and made me whole

From all my destructions, He delivered me

He broke the heavy chains and set me free

I lift my voice to heaven above

Thankful for His healing and my sister's love

Oh, He sent His Word to make me new

And He showed His loving grace through you
