Ashley

Back in Clinton, April fifteen, twenty-fifteen

You were the sweetest soul that I had ever seen

So funny, so kind, with a heart so pure

The beautiful queen I'd been searching for

We did some moving around, Chicago city nights

To Virginia waterfalls and those peaceful sights

I saw my perfect angel then, and I see her now

Nothing's gonna change the love behind my vow

You’re the sunshine to my diamonds, my ride or die

The peanut to my butter, the grape to my jelly, no lie

Twenty-twenty-two at Eagle Point, above the waterfall

I looked into your eyes, said "I do" and gave my all

You're the best part of me, my everything, it's true

Ashley, I found myself the day I married you

You'd do anything for family, you proved it that day

Took the cuffs with a big smile, no regrets in your way

From our first apartment to the first house we owned

With Pork the dog, seven years in our home

Watching Zander and Grayson, Theo, Zaylee grow

Brady, Cory, Braxton—our full life started to show

Through the crazy and the chaos, you stood by my side

My beautiful wife, my ultimate pride

Maquoketa for a restart, then Savanna brought us down

The struggle is real when the hard times come around

I’m straightening my life, fixing mistakes from my past

Holding on tight 'cause I need us to last

I’m doing all I can, but you gotta want it too

I won't let anybody get between me and you

'Cause you’re the sunshine to my diamonds, my ride or die

The peanut to my butter, the grape to my jelly, no lie

Twenty-twenty-two at Eagle Point, above the waterfall

I looked into your eyes, said "I do" and gave my all

You're the best part of me, my everything, it's true

Ashley, my unstoppable love is only for you
