Joshua

I remember July fifteenth, the day you came to me

Seeing you for the very first time, right where I'm meant to be

Joshua, you brought a light, a kindness to this earth

With every smile you share with me, you show me what I'm worth

You treat me with a gentle heart, you make my spirit bright

A reflection of the Father's care, stepping into the light

The Lord our God is in our midst, a mighty one to save

He brought your tender heart to me, the sweetest gift He gave

He rejoices over us with gladness, from the heavens up above

He will quiet every worry, He will quiet us with love

Joshua, I thank the Lord for the happiness you bring

While the Father exults over us, and the angels start to sing

I think about the living room, the laughter that we share

When you hold me in your arms, and lift me in the air

You treat me with such goodness, you love me as I am

Guided by the Holy Word, and the gentle Shepherd's hand

Every time you look at me, I feel so safe and free

I know that God was planning this, to bring you here to me

The Lord our God is in our midst, a mighty one to save

He brought your tender heart to me, the sweetest gift He gave

He rejoices over us with gladness, from the heavens up above

He will quiet every worry, He will quiet us with love

Joshua, I thank the Lord for the happiness you bring

While the Father exults over us, and the angels start to sing

Zephaniah wrote the promise that we hold onto today

A mighty God who rescues us and washes fear away

He sings a loud and joyful song, a melody so true

I feel His presence in the room when I am here with you

The Lord our God is in our midst, a mighty one to save

He brought your tender heart to me, the sweetest gift He gave

He rejoices over us with gladness, from the heavens up above

He will quiet every worry, He will quiet us with love

Joshua, I thank the Lord for the happiness you bring

He is singing over us today, let our hallelujahs ring
