Laid down my pride and surrendered my days

Rising up clean in the arms of the Father

Learning to walk in His holy ways

Now every morning I wake and I pray

To guide my family the rest of the way

For God so loved the world

That whoever believes in His name

I read John 3:16 and I finally see

The depth of the grace that was given to me

A sacrifice made so my soul wouldn't die

Now my hands are raised up high

I'm building our house on the Word and the truth
