Shawn

You’ve got a spirit that lights up a room

A generous soul that chases the gloom

You’d give your last dollar to help out a friend

That good nature of yours, Shawn, it knows no end

You care so deeply, your heart is so wide

I look at the man you've become with such pride

So whenever you need me, just call out my name

Through the sunshine and shadows, I'll love you the same

You're my son and my joy, through the highs and the lows

I'm right in your corner, wherever life goes

Forever and always, I want you to see

You can always, always count on me

But I still gotta watch every step that I take

Wondering what kind of trouble you're trying to make

You love sneaking up just to give me a scare

With a practical joke when I'm just unaware

I jump and I holler, then I start to smile

'Cause your laughter, Shawn, makes it all worthwhile

So whenever you need me, just call out my name

Through the sunshine and shadows, I'll love you the same

You're my son and my joy, through the highs and the lows

I'm right in your corner, wherever life goes

Forever and always, I want you to see

You can always, always count on me

You’re a rock for your buddies, so steady and true

And there's nothing in this world I wouldn't do for you

Keep sharing that humor, keep shining that light

Just know that your mom has your back day and night

So whenever you need me, just call out my name

Through the sunshine and shadows, I'll love you the same

You're my son and my joy, through the highs and the lows

I'm right in your corner, wherever life goes

Forever and always, I want you to see

Shawn, you can always count on me

Yeah, forever and always, you can count on me
