MaryAnn

I remember the doors of Hickory Tree Baptist Church

The end of a prayer, the end of a search

God gave me a woman so faithful and true

MaryAnn, I saw His light shining in you

You're so understanding, you love without end

My beautiful wife and my spiritual friend

Lord, I lift up my hands for the gift of her heart

She’s forgiving and amazing, a grace set apart

We stand on the promise, we hold to the truth

Of the scripture we lean on, relying on You

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

With my wife by my side for eternity

From quiet afternoons with a picnic by the lake

To the city sidewalks for the Savior's sake

We walk through the street ministry side by side

With the Word as our compass and faith as our guide

You pour out compassion on all that you meet

Being His hands and His feet on the street

Lord, I lift up my hands for the gift of her heart

She’s forgiving and amazing, a grace set apart

We stand on the promise, we hold to the truth

Of the scripture we lean on, relying on You

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

With my wife by my side for eternity

When I am weary, you carry the light

Your tender devotion makes everything right

A vessel of mercy, so patient and kind

A love built on Jesus, two spirits entwined

I look at your life and I see heaven's plan

I'm so deeply grateful to hold MaryAnn

Lord, I lift up my hands for the gift of her heart

She’s forgiving and amazing, a grace set apart

We stand on the promise, we hold to the truth

Of the scripture we lean on, relying on You

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Thank You, Lord, for MaryAnn, my beautiful peace
