Tonianne

The final amen echoed in the room

We stepped out the doors into the afternoon

A simple cup of coffee after Sunday church

Two souls finding fellowship, ending a search

You shared your heart right across the table

A friendship built on faith, steady and stable

Tonianne, your kindness is a gentle light

You carry His compassion, shining so bright

You live out the words that He called us to do:

"Love one another as I have loved you"

Lord, I see Your reflection in a friend so true

When I see your devotion, it points to the cross

You offer up comfort, no matter the cost

Your hands are always open, your spirit is mild

Walking in the peace of a heavenly child

Every single day you let His love pour through

Showing me the Savior in the things you do

Tonianne, your kindness is a gentle light

You carry His compassion, shining so bright

You live out the words that He called us to do:

"Love one another as I have loved you"

Lord, I see Your reflection in a friend so true

From that first Sunday morning to where we stand now

I thank the Lord for you as I humbly bow

For a faithful companion who walks in His light

And keeps the name of Jesus forever in sight

Tonianne, your kindness is a gentle light

You carry His compassion, shining so bright

You live out the words that He called us to do:

"Love one another as I have loved you"

Yes, you love one another as He has loved you

Thank God for a friend like you
