Donald

Back in two thousand and four, the story began

God knew what He was doing when He gave me this man

By two thousand and five, we were saying our vows

And the laughter you bring me is lifting me now

You've got a way of just lighting the room

Chasing away every shadow and gloom

Oh, Donald, your kind heart is a beautiful thing

You give and you give, bringing joy I can sing

No matter the valley, whatever we face

We walk in His favor, we rest in His grace

And we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

Yes, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

When the long day is over, the evening is quiet

We put on a movie and turn down the lights

I lean on your shoulder, I let out a sigh

Safe in your presence as hours go by

Before the ending can even unfold

I fall asleep on your lap, with peace in my soul

Oh, Donald, your kind heart is a beautiful thing

You give and you give, bringing joy I can sing

No matter the valley, whatever we face

We walk in His favor, we rest in His grace

And we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

Yes, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

You're always so giving, your spirit so sweet

With you by my side, I am truly complete

Through every season, through every test

I look at my husband and know I am blessed

Hand in hand, walking by faith every day

Trusting the Lord as He shows us the way

Oh, Donald, your kind heart is a beautiful thing

You give and you give, bringing joy I can sing

No matter the valley, whatever we face

We walk in His favor, we rest in His grace

And we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

Yes, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us

Safe on your lap, and held in His love

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us
