Larry

Friday night, October thirteen

Peppers bar, felt like a movie scene

You stepped outside into the evening air

I was inside, pretending not to stare

But we locked eyes right through the window pane

You made a little motion, and everything changed

I walked out to join you, didn't know it then

But that was the moment our story began

Oh Larry, you're the man, so patient and so smart

You've got a humble spirit and a tender, loving heart

Through all the ups and downs, whatever we go through

If I had to do it over, I will always choose you

Yeah, I will always choose you

We didn't want that first night to end

Just a couple strangers turning into more than friends

Drove down to IHOP, talking till the sunrise

I saw my whole future reflecting in your eyes

Now we share a beautiful home

With two beautiful girls, look how our love has grown

It's a life worth living over and over again

With you by my side, my lover and my friend

Oh Larry, you're the man, so patient and so smart

You've got a humble spirit and a tender, loving heart

Through all the ups and downs, whatever we go through

If I had to do it over, I will always choose you

Yeah, I will always choose you

You are so respectful, responsible and kind

A hardworking father, bringing peace to my mind

You're the rock of this family, reliable and strong

Funny how that Friday night is where we both belong

'Cause Larry, you're the man, so patient and so smart

You've got a humble spirit and a tender, loving heart

Through all the ups and downs, whatever we go through

If I had to do it over, I will always choose you

Yeah, from the window pane to a love so true

I will always choose you
