Jerry

Our story started on a Good Friday

Sharing Chinese food to kick off the day

Sat in the church pews, side by side

Then grabbed some ice cream, our hearts open wide

I didn't know then what I know right now

But you showed me a love that changed me somehow

Jerry, you're the arms where I feel safe

A sensitive romantic, my saving grace

Thoughtful and funny, my protector and friend

A beautiful love that will never end

You always tell me what my heart's waiting for

But I'm here to tell you, I love you more

You still know how to sweep me off my feet

With a surprise trip making life so sweet

Walking the zoo, just holding my hand

Shopping together without any plan

Finished the day with a dinner for two

Every little moment is better with you

Jerry, you're the arms where I feel safe

A sensitive romantic, my saving grace

Thoughtful and funny, my protector and friend

A beautiful love that will never end

You always tell me what my heart's waiting for

But I'm here to tell you, I love you more

We don't need a big adventure to make a memory

I'm perfectly happy just cuddling watching TV

Leaning on your shoulder while the screen glows bright

Wrapped up in your love on a quiet night

I still smile about that afternoon

You were talking to me across the room

I said, "Speak up, I didn't hear what you said"

And we just laughed and laughed, shaking our heads

It’s the simple moments that make me see

Just how much you really mean to me

Jerry, you're the arms where I feel safe

A sensitive romantic, my saving grace

Thoughtful and funny, my protector and friend

A beautiful love that will never end

You always tell me what my heart's waiting for

But I'm here to tell you, I love you more

Yeah, I'm here to tell you, I love you more!
