Katie

Looking back on the roads we took

Life didn't always read like a book

When the moments didn't go as planned

We just held on tighter to each other's hand

Through the storms and the faded tracks

We always knew we had each other's backs

Every hurdle that we had to climb

Just made us closer with the passing time

Katie, you're a blessing from above

A steady heart made of generous love

So patient, protective, and always fair

You are exactly who I asked for in my prayer

God gave me an amazing daughter to adore

I will love you now and forevermore

Through every season and every open door

You are exactly who I prayed for

Now I watch you in a brand new light

Guiding little Ezdeth, holding her tight

Seeing the mother that you've come to be

Is a beautiful gift you've given me

You watch over her with a gentle grace

I see the pure love shining on your face

You're passing down all the good you know

And I am just so proud to watch you grow

Katie, you're a blessing from above

A steady heart made of generous love

So patient, protective, and always fair

You are exactly who I asked for in my prayer

God gave me an amazing daughter to adore

I will love you now and forevermore

Through every season and every open door

You are exactly who I prayed for

Every unexpected detour that we faced

Brought us together in this beautiful place

From the little girl I raised to the woman standing here

My love for you is absolute and clear

Katie, you're a blessing from above

A steady heart made of generous love

So patient, protective, and always fair

You are exactly who I asked for in my prayer

God gave me an amazing daughter to adore

I will love you now and forevermore

Through every season and every open door

Katie, you are exactly who I prayed for
