Jose

Rolling down the highway, sun upon the dash

Watching how the miles and the memories move past

Sitting on the sofa, movies on the screen

Jose, you're the greatest gift I've ever seen

You've got a heart so honest, gentle and so kind

The sweetest kind of spirit I could ever find

So trust in the Lord with all of your heart

Don't lean on what you know, let Him do His part

In all of your ways, just give Him the weight

And He is gonna make your paths so straight

Oh Jose, keep shining the way you do

I'll always be here with a hug for you

Every time I hold you, every single hug

I feel all the warmth of your deep and caring love

You look out for others, honest to the core

I couldn't ask for any grandson I love more

You're growing up so strong, but keep this in your mind

Leave all your worries and the heavy doubts behind

And trust in the Lord with all of your heart

Don't lean on what you know, let Him do His part

In all of your ways, just give Him the weight

And He is gonna make your paths so straight

Oh Jose, keep shining the way you do

I'll always be here with a hug for you

When the road gets winding and you cannot see the end

Remember that the Maker is your closest friend

Acknowledge Him in everything, through the highs and lows

He will guide your footsteps everywhere you go

So trust in the Lord with all of your heart

Don't lean on what you know, let Him do His part

In all of your ways, just give Him the weight

And He is gonna make your paths so straight

Oh Jose, keep shining the way you do

I'll always be here with a hug for you
