Jeff

It was only last year in the open air

By the picnic bench, I found a blessing there

We sat outside and you shared your time

With a gentle soul and a peaceful mind

You showed me the meaning of loving your neighbor

A spirit of peace in your everyday labor

So never give up, keep pushing ahead

Follow the path where the Spirit has led

Always do good in the life that you live

With a kind, open heart and so much to give

Keep moving forward, steady and true

Jeff, I thank God for a friend like you

You respect every person who crosses your way

Working so hard through the heat of the day

Whenever I stumble, you help me stand tall

You answer the need and you care for them all

Your hands are so willing, your actions are kind

Leaving the darkness and shadows behind

So never give up, keep pushing ahead

Follow the path where the Spirit has led

Always do good in the life that you live

With a kind, open heart and so much to give

Keep moving forward, steady and true

Jeff, I thank God for a friend like you

When the mountain is steep and the trials begin

Let the strength of your faith rise up from within

Keep planting the seeds of the love that you show

And watch how the grace in your journey will grow

Just keep your eyes focused on things up above

And fill up the world with your hard-working love

So never give up, keep pushing ahead

Follow the path where the Spirit has led

Always do good in the life that you live

With a kind, open heart and so much to give

Keep moving forward, steady and true

Jeff, I thank God for a friend like you
