Erica

Back in nineteen ninety-eight, our story began

At ATA Airlines, a part of His plan

We were just stepping out, earning our wings

Not knowing the blessings that fellowship brings

Through the seasons of life, the highs and the lows

You walked by my side, and the evidence shows

Oh, Erica, I thank the Lord for your life

A beacon of comfort in joy and in strife

The Word says a friend loves at all times, it's true

And I see that scripture alive right in you

My prayer warrior, my faithful, amazing friend

I know you'll be standing with me 'til the end

We both moved to Texas, a brand new frontier

Following paths that were not always clear

Unbeknownst to us both, we walked through the same door

Working the same job, together once more

God ordered our steps, He guided our way

To keep us connected, day after day

Oh, Erica, I thank the Lord for your life

A beacon of comfort in joy and in strife

The Word says a friend loves at all times, it's true

And I see that scripture alive right in you

My prayer warrior, my faithful, amazing friend

I know you'll be standing with me 'til the end

You are a listener who hears every word

Making me feel like I’m seen and I'm heard

So patient and kind, you fall to your knees

And fight for my spirit in your prayers of peace

A divine intervention, a sister in grace

No distance or time could ever erase

Oh, Erica, I thank the Lord for your life

A beacon of comfort in joy and in strife

The Word says a friend loves at all times, it's true

And I see that scripture alive right in you

My prayer warrior, my faithful, amazing friend

I thank God for the blessing He decided to send

Yes, a friend loves at all times, through every season

And God gave me you as the beautiful reason
