Jerry

You were my first boyfriend back in the fourth grade

Who knew the beautiful promise we made?

We grew up together, my high school sweetheart

I knew from the start we would never be apart

When you got down on one knee at our senior prom

I knew right then that you were the one

Jerry, you're the love of my life, my best friend

My soulmate, my safe place right up to the end

With your sweet smile and those kind, gentle eyes

You're the greatest blessing under these skies

You love so big, you're loyal and true

I thank God every day that I found you

We said "I do" in October, my favorite time of year

I walked down the aisle with you standing near

Then came the days of our family growing

Four beautiful kids and a love overflowing

We laugh all the time, just spinning around

It's the sweetest kind of joy that I've ever found

Jerry, you're the love of my life, my best friend

My soulmate, my safe place right up to the end

With your sweet smile and those kind, gentle eyes

You're the greatest blessing under these skies

You love so big, you're loyal and true

I thank God every day that I found you

You're a courageous man with a God-loving heart

Sealed forever in the temple, we'll never be apart

From our days at the beach in the warm ocean breeze

To dancing in the kitchen with such loving ease

We spend time together just because we still care

There's a quiet kind of magic in the moments we share

You're funny and caring, so patient and kind

A love like we have is so precious to find

Through all of the seasons, the highs and the lows

My love for you, Jerry, just deepens and grows

From that little boy to the man of my dreams

Life with you is even better than it seems

Jerry, you're the love of my life, my best friend

My soulmate, my safe place right up to the end

With your sweet smile and those kind, gentle eyes

You're the greatest blessing under these skies

You love so big, you're loyal and true

I thank God every day that I found you

Yeah, from the fourth grade to forever, it's true

I will always be in love with you
