Missy

We were just two years old when the story began

Tiny footsteps walking hand in hand

Through the seasons of life, watching each other grow

You are the deepest friendship I will ever know

We built a foundation that nothing could shake

A bond that the passing of time couldn't break

Missy, you're my bestie, forever and always

Through the quiet nights and the heavy days

No amount of distance could ever break this tie

More than just a friend, you're the sister of my life

When the world gets dark and I'm losing my way

You always know the perfect words to say

With a caring heart, you're my safe place to fall

I know you'll be there whenever I call

You carry my burdens, you dry every tear

Even across the miles, I feel you right here

Missy, you're my bestie, forever and always

Through the quiet nights and the heavy days

No amount of distance could ever break this tie

More than just a friend, you're the sister of my life

The map might put empty space between where we stand

But my heart is always right there in your hand

Blood doesn't make us closer than we are right now

We wrote our own forever, we made our own vow

Missy, you're my bestie, forever and always

Through the quiet nights and the heavy days

No amount of distance could ever break this tie

More than just a friend, you're the sister of my life

Since we were two, until the end of time

Missy, you're the sister of my life
