Lua Seumanutafa

Monday through Friday, you're working so hard

Building this life that we share

Come Saturday morning, we're out in the yard

Hunting for sales everywhere

Sifting through boxes on somebody's lawn

Finding a bargain or two

But the most precious thing that I've ever found

Is the life I am building with you

Oh Lua, you opened your home and your heart

To Tiresa and Erica, right from the start

You took them both in and you loved them as yours

A father, a friend, and an open door

For all that you do and the love you provide

I'm so proud to stand by your side

Sometimes we sneak off to lay down a bet

And see what the tables will bring

We sit at the slots and we play a few hands

And laugh through the losing and winning

But I don't need chips and I don't need the gold

To know that my fortune is made

Cause having a hardworking husband like you

Is the greatest hand I ever played

Oh Lua, you opened your home and your heart

To Tiresa and Erica, right from the start

You took them both in and you loved them as yours

A father, a friend, and an open door

For all that you do and the love you provide

I'm so proud to stand by your side

Thank you for being the rock of this house

For the patience and care that you show

You didn't just give them a roof overhead

You gave them a safe place to grow

Thank you for everything, all that you do

Our family is whole because of you

Oh Lua, you opened your home and your heart

To Tiresa and Erica, right from the start

You took them both in and you loved them as yours

A father, a friend, and an open door

For all that you do and the love you provide

I hit the jackpot with you by my side
