John

I still remember the day that we met

A beautiful moment I'll never forget

You were so patient, so gentle and sweet

A caring soul who swept me off of my feet

You showed me a kindness I didn't expect

And gave me a feeling I want to protect

Oh, John, you brought the happiness back to my life

You chased away shadows and let in the light

You gave me a reason to smile again

My beautiful lover, my closest friend

Yeah, I love you, I love you, it's true

I found my joy when I found you

I look forward to the nights that we share

Just enjoying your company, knowing you care

You make me laugh with the funny things you say

Washing the weight of the world right away

So loving and kind, you stay by my side

With you in my corner, my heart opens wide

Oh, John, you brought the happiness back to my life

You chased away shadows and let in the light

You gave me a reason to smile again

My beautiful lover, my closest friend

Yeah, I love you, I love you, it's true

I found my joy when I found you

Before you came 'round, my colors were gray

But your sweet, loving nature chased the clouds away

In every quiet moment, in every conversation

Your love is my healing, my true elevation

Oh, John, you brought the happiness back to my life

You chased away shadows and let in the light

You gave me a reason to smile again

My beautiful lover, my closest friend

Yeah, I love you, I love you, it's true

I found my reason to smile in you
