Paula

It started with a stack of children's books

You stopped to buy a few and took a look

Who knew that little moment in the day

Would bring a faithful friend my way

We pulled out the paper, the scissors, and glue

Scrapbooking memories, just me and you

From painting to crafting, whatever we start

I love making art with your beautiful heart

Oh, Paula, I hope that you always can see

How much your huge heart really matters to me

You’re thoughtful and caring in all that you do

I’m so deeply thankful for a friend like you

Whenever you doubt it, I want you to know

You are important wherever you go

When shadows got heavy and times were so rough

You listened to me when I’d had enough

You sat by my side and you helped me pull through

I don't know what I'd do without someone like you

You picked up your camera and captured the grace

Taking photos of family, framing each face

You look at the world with such a kind eye

A supportive spirit I couldn't deny

Oh, Paula, I hope that you always can see

How much your huge heart really matters to me

You’re thoughtful and caring in all that you do

I’m so deeply thankful for a friend like you

Whenever you doubt it, I want you to know

You are important wherever you go

You give so much love to the people you meet

You make every piece of the canvas complete

So let me remind you, in case you forgot

You're valued, you're cherished, you matter a lot

Your creativity shines from the inside out

You're the kind of friend I could never be without

Oh, Paula, I hope that you always can see

How much your huge heart really matters to me

You’re thoughtful and caring in all that you do

I’m so deeply thankful for a friend like you

Whenever you doubt it, I want you to know

You are important wherever you go

Yes, Paula, you're valued wherever you go
