Ashley

Sunday morning bathed in sanctuary light

Voices rising up to take their flight

I look beside me at the grace in how you stand

Holding onto hope with an open hand

Ashley, you’ve got a patient, gentle way

Living out the words we come to pray

Oh, you’re a beautiful soul, shining so bright

Reflecting the Savior in all of His light

You don’t have to strive, there is nothing to prove

We love you, Ashley, just because you’re you

A godly heart, so steadfast and true

We love you just because you’re you

Gathered in the pews or sharing a prayer

Whenever we need a friend, you're already there

You show us the beauty of walking the Word

The sweetest testament we've ever heard

You never rush, you take the time to see

The image of God in you and in me

Oh, you’re a beautiful soul, shining so bright

Reflecting the Savior in all of His light

You don’t have to strive, there is nothing to prove

We love you, Ashley, just because you’re you

A godly heart, so steadfast and true

We love you just because you’re you

We lift up our hands and we thank the Lord

For the gift of your friendship, a beautiful chord

In the song of our lives, you bring the peace

May His grace in your spirit only increase

Oh, you’re a beautiful soul, shining so bright

Reflecting the Savior in all of His light

You don’t have to strive, there is nothing to prove

We love you, Ashley, just because you’re you

A godly heart, so steadfast and true

We love you just because you’re you

Yes, we love you just because you're you
