Theresa

Almost three years since we met in those pews

Seeking the Lord and discovering truth

I didn't know what Heaven had in store

But I found a family I couldn't ignore

You opened your arms and you welcomed me in

That's where the grace of this friendship begins

Theresa, you love with a heart like His

Patient and selfless in all that there is

You pour out your soul and you love people well

Reflecting Christ's heart in the stories you tell

When I look at the blessing you've been to me

It's clear as the day, it's so easy to see

God knew what He was doing when He gave me a friend like you

A Godly woman who walks in the light

Your wisdom and words make the heavy days bright

You offer encouragement, steady and true

Faithfully following all He asks of you

You're a beacon of hope to the people you meet

Serving the world as His hands and His feet

Theresa, you love with a heart like His

Patient and selfless in all that there is

You pour out your soul and you love people well

Reflecting Christ's heart in the stories you tell

When I look at the blessing you've been to me

It's clear as the day, it's so easy to see

God knew what He was doing when He gave me a friend like you

So thank you for showing what true love can be

For sharing your faith and your spirit with me

Every step of the way, you are walking in grace

Bringing His peace and His light to this place

Theresa, you love with a heart like His

Patient and selfless in all that there is

You pour out your soul and you love people well

Reflecting Christ's heart in the stories you tell

When I look at the blessing you've been to me

It's clear as the day, it's so easy to see

God knew what He was doing

Yeah, God knew what He was doing when He gave me a friend like you
