Zachary

It started with a sudden, simple sound

My little giggle that drew you near

I didn’t know the miracle I’d found

Until your humor chased away the fear

You have a gentle and a patient way

Of bringing sunlight to a heavy day

You are the calm when the waters rise

I see my future looking in your eyes

My life wouldn't be life without you here

You are the light that makes my vision clear

No matter the circumstances we walk through

My love will never fade, it stays with you

Zachary, your heart is my resting place

Wrapped in your patience, covered in grace

I love the quiet when we take our walks

The easy rhythm as the hours pass

But my favorite place to find my rest

Is laying my head right upon your chest

Listening to your heartbeat, steady and deep

A tender promise that I get to keep

My sweet fiancé, you are my safe retreat

Your caring spirit makes my soul complete

My life wouldn't be life without you here

You are the light that makes my vision clear

No matter the circumstances we walk through

My love will never fade, it stays with you

Zachary, your heart is my resting place

Wrapped in your patience, covered in grace

No matter the shadows, no matter the test

I know that our journey is deeply blessed

If the seasons change or the mountains shake

I will hold to the promises that we make

Because your loving heart is my sacred ground

In this life we are building, I am safely bound

Oh, my life wouldn't be life without you here

You are the light that makes my vision clear

No matter the circumstances we walk through

My love will never fade, I belong to you

Zachary, your heart is my resting place

Wrapped in your patience, covered in grace

I will always find my peace upon your chest
