Douglas

I love the quiet of our rides together

Watching the world go by, just you and me

Loving each other side by side forever

A gentle soul is what you'll always be

You work so hard and give with all you have

A patient heart that walks a humble path

Douglas, you're a warrior for Christ

Living out a kind and loving life

Words could never hold the love we share

It’s a bond of grace beyond compare

With every selfless thing you do right now

You're earning jewels to place upon His crown

I take my seat and look up at the altar

I hear your voice ring out to praise the Lord

Your faith is deep, I’ve never seen it falter

You give so freely, asking no reward

Christ-driven in the way you lead our home

The most generous spirit I have ever known

Douglas, you're a warrior for Christ

Living out a kind and loving life

Words could never hold the love we share

It’s a bond of grace beyond compare

With every selfless thing you do right now

You're earning jewels to place upon His crown

I have always loved you from the start

A love too deep to just explain in part

God gave me a husband tender and true

I see the light of Heaven shining through you

My Douglas, you're a warrior for Christ

Living out a kind and loving life

Words could never hold the love we share

It’s a bond of grace beyond compare

Keep living for the Savior, bowing down

As you lay those jewels upon Jesus' crown
