Jessie

We were only sixteen when you walked my way

And asked to borrow my Bible that day

I handed it over, and right then I knew

The good Lord was writing a story for two

It was a match made in heaven, so easy to see

The moment you opened those pages with me

Oh, Jessie, you are the love of my life

The light in my world, burning so bright

I couldn't imagine a single day

Without you by my side, come what may

My devoted husband, so steady and true

I am so deeply in love with you

When our four boys came into this world

You never missed a moment as it all unfurled

You were right in the room for every first cry

With a tender tear in a strong man's eye

You work so hard from the dawn to the dusk

Doing whatever is needed for us

Oh, Jessie, you are the love of my life

The light in my world, burning so bright

I couldn't imagine a single day

Without you by my side, come what may

My devoted husband, so steady and true

I am so deeply in love with you

Whenever the road gets a little too steep

You make things happen, you don't miss a beat

A hardworking father who carries the load

You're the safest haven that I've ever known

Oh, Jessie, you are the love of my life

The light in my world, burning so bright

I couldn't imagine a single day

Without you by my side, come what may

My devoted husband, so steady and true

I will forever be in love with you
