Alaysia

We started out just working side by side

But soon enough I saw the way you care

You notice every detail others hide

An empathetic spirit always there

You strive to be the best that you can be

To please the Lord in everything you do

It didn't take too long for me to see

The quiet, steady grace inside of you

Alaysia, you are fearfully and wonderfully made

Walking through the trials, unafraid

When adversity and doubt try to pull you down

You stand upon your faith and hold your ground

You're stronger than you ever really know

It's impossible to not be drawn to how you glow

I try to be the one to hold you up

To offer unconditional support

To pour a little courage in your cup

Whenever life is heavy or falls short

But truth be told, you do the same for me

A living testament of trusting grace

You make me better than I used to be

A dynamic presence nothing could replace

Alaysia, you are fearfully and wonderfully made

Walking through the trials, unafraid

When adversity and doubt try to pull you down

You stand upon your faith and hold your ground

You're stronger than you ever really know

It's impossible to not be drawn to how you glow

I know discouragement has crossed your path

And tried to steal the vision that you see

But you respond with love instead of wrath

And show me what a Christian ought to be

You keep your eyes on heaven through the tears

And I will be right by your side through all the years

Alaysia, you are fearfully and wonderfully made

Walking through the trials, unafraid

When adversity and doubt try to pull you down

You stand upon your faith and hold your ground

You're stronger than you ever really know

I'm forever grateful just to watch you glow
