Benita

I think about the laughter that we share

The way you always show how much you care

Benita, you've got such an understanding heart

A gentle kindness planted from the start

Through every season and every joyful smile

I've loved walking this road with you a while

And you stand strong when the heavy winds blow

Rooted in the greatest love we know

By the grace of Jesus, our Savior and Lord

You rest in the promise of His holy word

A witness to forgiveness and salvation’s light

Faithful in the morning, faithful in the night

I've watched you face the shadows and the rain

And trust the Lord to wash away the pain

You hold onto the cross and never let it go

Believing in the mercies He will show

Your friendship is a blessing from above

Reflecting all the beauty of His love

And you stand strong when the heavy winds blow

Rooted in the greatest love we know

By the grace of Jesus, our Savior and Lord

You rest in the promise of His holy word

A witness to forgiveness and salvation’s light

Faithful in the morning, faithful in the night

Through the storms of life, He is your guide

With the peace of Heaven by your side

You show me what it means to humbly believe

In the quiet mercy that we receive

He is your anchor, He is your rock

The faithful Shepherd watching o'er His flock

Cause you stand strong when the heavy winds blow

Rooted in the greatest love we know

By the grace of Jesus, our Savior and Lord

You rest in the promise of His holy word

A witness to forgiveness and salvation’s light

Benita, you are shining in His sight
