DeRoderick

I still treasure the day you arrived on this earth

A beautiful blessing right from your birth

You came to me early, so fragile and small

But God had a plan to protect through it all

I look back and smile at the first time we met

A beautiful moment I’ll never forget

DeRoderick, you were my miracle boy

Filling my spirit with nothing but joy

Look at you now, a handsome young man

Holding your dreams in the palm of your hand

I'm proud of your accomplishments, all you've achieved

You're doing much more than I ever believed

Mommy loves you so much, my beautiful son

With all of your talent, your life's just begun

Mommy loves you, baby, forever and true

I'm so incredibly proud of you

You grew up so strong, you grew up so smart

With so much rhythm and art in your heart

I look at the path that you've walked gracefully

And I love you so much for what you did for me

You gave me a purpose, you gave me my grace

Whenever I look at your handsome face

The Lord kept His hand on you, day after day

Guiding your steps every inch of the way

Look at you now, a handsome young man

Holding your dreams in the palm of your hand

I'm proud of your accomplishments, all you've achieved

You're doing much more than I ever believed

Mommy loves you so much, my beautiful son

With all of your talent, your life's just begun

Mommy loves you, baby, forever and true

I'm so incredibly proud of you

From that early start to the man that you are

God's love has carried you, brought you so far

His blessings just follow wherever you go

And deep in your soul, I need you to know

You fought through the odds since the day you were born

And turned into a light that outshines every storm

Look at you now, a handsome young man

Holding your dreams in the palm of your hand

I'm proud of your accomplishments, all you've achieved

And I love you so much for what you did for me

Mommy loves you so much, my beautiful son

With all of your talent, your life's just begun

Mommy loves you, baby, I'll say it again

My early miracle, my handsome young man
