Darlene Boyd

I was waiting for a rescue down in the Florida heat

When you came into my life and made my world complete

You drove me to Celina, Ohio, and gave me a brand new start

You chose to be my mother, and you healed my fragile heart

Thank you, Mom, for everything you've done

For being the strong and caring one

You are my heart, the answer to my prayer

Words can't even begin to say how much I care

Thank you for loving me right from the start

Darlene Boyd, you are my heart

I know I haven't always been the easiest to bear

But you put up with my struggles and covered me in prayer

You helped take care of me when I was weak and small

With a wonderful, patient spirit, you carried me through it all

Thank you, Mom, for everything you've done

For being the strong and caring one

You are my heart, the answer to my prayer

Words can't even begin to say how much I care

Thank you for loving me right from the start

Darlene Boyd, you are my heart

More than just a mother, you're the shelter from the storm

You reached into my loneliness and kept me safe and warm

I count my every blessing, and I lift my hands to praise

The woman who has loved me through the hardest of my days

Thank you, Mom, for everything you've done

For being the strong and caring one

You are my heart, the answer to my prayer

Words can't even begin to say how much I care

Thank you for loving me right from the start

Darlene Boyd, you are my heart

Oh, thank you, Mom, you are my heart
