Donna

Donna, you walk with a spirit so bright

Always pointing the way to the heavenly light

Sharing the gospel with all that you can

Holding the Word in the palm of your hand

Patient and kind, a God-fearing soul

Pouring your heart out to make us whole

You were always right there when the waters got rough

Showing up daily and never giving up

We might have clashed, we might have fought

But I finally see the lessons you taught

Every prayer that you prayed, every push and shove

I know you did it all, everything out of love

Looking back now at the years as I grew

I know I wasn't always easy on you

We didn't always see eye to eye

But you never let the connection die

Whenever I needed you, you were right there

Wrapping me up in a comforting prayer

You were always right there when the waters got rough

Showing up daily and never giving up

We might have clashed, we might have fought

But I finally see the lessons you taught

Every prayer that you prayed, every push and shove

I know you did it all, everything out of love

A mother like you is a gift from above

Anchored in faith and guided by love

Thank you for standing so steady and true

I am so blessed to be raised up by you

You were always right there when the waters got rough

Showing up daily and never giving up

We might have clashed, we might have fought

But I finally see the lessons you taught

Every prayer that you prayed, every push and shove

Donna, you did it all, everything out of love

Yeah, you did it all out of love
