Joshua

I can't believe it was that very first day

When I held you in my arms and the world faded away

You were just one month old, resting deep in my soul

Now I'm watching you grow, making my spirit whole

Time moves so fast, but the memory stays

Now I'm counting the candles on your special day

Oh Joshua, today you turn eight

Every moment with you is something to celebrate

Only God knows the joy that you bring to my life

My beautiful grandson, shining so bright

Yeah, only God knows the joy that you bring to my life

You're such a happy kid, with a heart made of gold

A beautiful energy, a wonder to behold

You love to play with the others, bringing them near

You make them feel safe, you chase away every fear

You share all your laughter, you share all your light

You make everything around you feel so right

Oh Joshua, today you turn eight

Every moment with you is something to celebrate

Only God knows the joy that you bring to my life

My beautiful grandson, shining so bright

Yeah, only God knows the joy that you bring to my life

From that tiny little baby to the boy that you are

I'm watching you rise like a beautiful star

Keep sharing your love, keep leading the way

I'm thanking the Lord for you every single day

You're a blessing, a gift, a dream coming true

There is nobody else in the world quite like you

Oh Joshua, today you turn eight

Every moment with you is something to celebrate

Only God knows the joy that you bring to my life

My beautiful grandson, shining so bright

Yeah, only God knows the joy that you bring to my life

Happy birthday, Joshua, my beautiful light
