Brenda

You never needed the spotlight to shine

A humble spirit that's so hard to find

Always putting the rest of us first

A caring soul in a world that hurts

Every single day you show me what love means

Quiet and steady, working behind the scenes

The proverb says he who finds a wife

Finds a great person to share in this life

And Brenda, you're the sweetest joy I've ever known

A loving, caring heart that I call my own

Yeah, the good book said it right from the start

I found a great person when I won your heart

I think of the beautiful memories we've made

The ministry work and the foundation we've laid

Standing on the deck of a ship out at sea

Watching the sunset wash over you and me

Serving the Lord, side by side in the light

Walking this road together just feels so right

The proverb says he who finds a wife

Finds a great person to share in this life

And Brenda, you're the sweetest joy I've ever known

A loving, caring heart that I call my own

Yeah, the good book said it right from the start

I found a great person when I won your heart

When the heavy storms gather and the skies turn gray

You're my prayer warrior, chasing the dark away

Fighting our battles down on your knees

Asking the Lord for His sweet mercies

I know I'm safe, and I know I'm secure

Because your faith is so deep and pure

The proverb says he who finds a wife

Finds a great person to share in this life

And Brenda, you're the sweetest joy I've ever known

A loving, caring heart that I call my own

Yeah, the good book said it right from the start

I found a great person when I won your heart
