Driving down that empty road, tears upon the wheel

Lost every friend I had at once, the pain was all too real

I looked up through the sobbing, and I spoke to You that day

Thinking of a broken world that turns Your love away

I said, "Lord, I wish that I could reach and hold You close right now

To comfort You for all the hurt, to wipe Your weeping brow"

But the heavy air grew holy, and the bitter sorrow ceased

When I felt Your arms wrap around me, and You became my peace.
