Eddie

I still remember how this story starts

A simple message that woke up my heart

You texted first, said you're my Prince Charming

And took away all the walls I was guarding

We shared a meal at the Olive Garden

That's where this beautiful journey started

I count my blessings every single day

I am so thankful that you came my way

Oh, love is patient and love is kind

A hopeful spirit that gives me peace of mind

Eddie, I love you, and I look above

To the hands of the Maker who authored our love

We’re walking together, stepping in trust

I know God has a special plan for us

You keep me smiling when the days get long

Your funny spirit is a joyful song

You always lift me with encouraging words

The sweetest comfort that I've ever heard

I know you'd do just about anything

To hold me close and see the light it brings

You are so loving in all that you do

I see the grace of the Lord shining through

Oh, love is patient and love is kind

A hopeful spirit that gives me peace of mind

Eddie, I love you, and I look above

To the hands of the Maker who authored our love

We’re walking together, stepping in trust

I know God has a special plan for us

Hallelujah for the way you care

You are my beautiful, answered prayer

With every step and every word we pray

He's guiding our hearts and He's leading the way

Our hope is built on a solid rock

Hand in hand on this path we walk

'Cause love is patient and love is kind

A hopeful spirit that gives me peace of mind

Eddie, I love you, and I look above

To the hands of the Maker who authored our love

We’re walking together, stepping in trust

I know God has a special plan for us

Oh, I know God has a special plan for us
