Sammy

Ten and a half years since our story began

I fell in love with a kind, caring man

You always had such a big heart to share

Showing the people around you you care

I love every minute I'm spending with you

But lately I've witnessed a grace shining through

Sammy, I love you, I want you to know

I'm so proud of the beautiful faith that you show

My favorite place in this world I could be

Is standing in church with you right next to me

My spirit rejoices, it soars to the sky

When you shout out the words to the "Midnight Cry"

Just in this last year, you answered the call

You gave your heart to Jesus, surrendered it all

I look at my husband, I see a new man

Walking in faith by the Master's own plan

Now every new person you meet on your way

You tell them about Him and the love He displays

Sammy, I love you, I want you to know

I'm so proud of the beautiful faith that you show

My favorite place in this world I could be

Is standing in church with you right next to me

My spirit rejoices, it soars to the sky

When you shout out the words to the "Midnight Cry"

Every minute with you is a blessing I hold

But hearing you worship is a joy to behold

Two voices together, one spirit, one Lord

Bound by His mercy and in perfect accord

Oh Sammy, I love you, I want you to know

I'm so proud of the beautiful faith that you show

My favorite place in this world I could be

Is standing in church with you right next to me

My spirit rejoices, it soars to the sky

When you shout out the words to the "Midnight Cry"

Yes, I'm so proud when you shout the "Midnight Cry"
