Santana

I remember that first bus ride, the day our stories crossed

Headed to the hospital, but your spirit wasn't lost

A fin stuck through your palm, yet you wore a peaceful face

Patient, wise, and humble, wrapped in quiet grace

I didn't know it then, but heaven had a plan

To give me a sister who would take me by the hand

Oh, Santana, God used you unapologetically

Showing me the Father's love, pouring out so free

For it is written, you are a chosen generation

A royal priesthood, a peculiar, holy nation

I'm so glad I met you, my sister in the light

Walking by my side, making everything alright

In the early morning hours, we would lift His holy name

Praising God together, knowing He remains the same

We'd make all our requests known, bowing on the floor

And watch Him answer every time, unlocking every door

Then we'd trade the heavy world for slumber party nights

Living room and favorite movies, laughing in the lights

Oh, Santana, God used you unapologetically

Showing me the Father's love, pouring out so free

For it is written, you are a chosen generation

A royal priesthood, a peculiar, holy nation

I'm so glad I met you, my sister in the light

Walking by my side, making everything alright

I am so humbled by the way you obeyed His call for me

A positive spirit full of endless sympathy

May you rise up high above every block the enemy throws

May the highest favor find you everywhere you go

In Christ, I pray for grace upon your days

As we keep on lifting up our morning praise

Oh, Santana, God used you unapologetically

Showing me the Father's love, pouring out so free

For it is written, you are a chosen generation

A royal priesthood, a peculiar, holy nation

My compassionate sister, my blessing from above

Thank you for the gift of unconditional love
