Caleb

I think back to the pages we used to turn

Reading books together, watching you learn

You’re so sweet and smart, with an artist's mind

Leaving the ordinary world behind

We’d talk about invisible rabbits all afternoon

Laughing our heads off, just me and you

Oh Caleb, be strong, courageous and brave

He is your anchor in every wave

Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged

By His great love, your spirit is nourished

Wherever you walk, whatever you do

The Lord your God is right there with you

I remember the day we made your Funny Bunny

Your smile was so wide, the moments were sunny

You’ve always had a light that shines so clear

And I want you to know, when you're facing the fear

You're the same artistic boy with the brilliant spark

And faith is going to guide you through the dark

Oh Caleb, be strong, courageous and brave

He is your anchor in every wave

Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged

By His great love, your spirit is nourished

Wherever you walk, whatever you do

The Lord your God is right there with you

When the burden of coping is too hard to bear

And the weight of this sickness is too much to share

Just close your eyes, because this is the truth

The Lord is right here, and He's fighting with you

He's fighting the battle, He's holding your hand

Walking beside you and helping you stand

So Caleb, be strong, courageous and brave

He is your anchor in every wave

Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged

By His great love, your spirit is nourished

Wherever you walk, whatever you do

The Lord your God is right there with you

My sweet grandson, so brave and so true

The Lord is fighting, He's fighting with you
