Sami

When Courtney joined the family, I gained a daughter's heart

I knew that it was special right from the very start

But I didn't see the other gift the good Lord had in store

Until she brought her sister right through my front door

We started out as family, just standing side by side

But you became a friend in whom I love to confide

Oh, Sami, you're a light with a soul so genuine

A loyal friend through everything, the thick and the thin

I treasure all your kindness and your love for the Lord

You're a beautiful blessing I could never afford

I just want you to know, when I count up my prayers

I'm so grateful for you and the friendship we share

You carry so much grace in the way you live your life

A steady kind of comfort through the joy and the strife

It’s rare to find a spirit who is always so true

But I see the love of heaven shining right out of you

You walk your faith out loud in the things that you do

And it lifts my spirit up just being around you

Oh, Sami, you're a light with a soul so genuine

A loyal friend through everything, the thick and the thin

I treasure all your kindness and your love for the Lord

You're a beautiful blessing I could never afford

I just want you to know, when I count up my prayers

I'm so grateful for you and the friendship we share

God works in mysterious and beautiful ways

Bringing two different lives to the very same page

Through a daughter-in-law, He planted a seed

And gave me the friend that I didn't know I'd need

Oh, Sami, you're a light with a soul so genuine

A loyal friend through everything, the thick and the thin

I treasure all your kindness and your love for the Lord

You're a beautiful blessing I could never afford

I just want you to know, when I count up my prayers

I'm so grateful for you and the friendship we share

Yeah, you are a true blessing, today and always
