Jesse

Two and a half years ago

We were clocking in at work

I couldn't keep my eyes off you

And that handsome little smirk

We started out as buddies

Just talking on the floor

But a friendship became a relationship

And gave me something more

Now we're cruisin' down the island

And we're stopping at the beach

With the ocean out before us

And the horizon in our reach

We're looking at the water

But the beautiful view is you

You're strong-willed and determined

And you always see things through

Jesse, hear my promise

When the skies are blue or gray

No matter what this life may bring

I will love you every day

Every single second

That I get to spend with you

Means everything inside my heart

It's the honest, simple truth

You've always been so funny

You can chase the clouds away

I'm so glad you're my boyfriend

And I thank God for you today

'Cause we're cruisin' down the island

And we're stopping at the beach

With the ocean out before us

And the horizon in our reach

We're looking at the water

But the beautiful view is you

You're strong-willed and determined

And you always see things through

Jesse, hear my promise

When the skies are blue or gray

No matter what this life may bring

I will love you every day

From the break room to the shoreline

It's been a beautiful ride

I know exactly what I have

With you right by my side

No matter where the road goes

Or what we're going through

I will always, always

Have so much love for you

Yeah, we're cruisin' down the island

And we're stopping at the beach

With the ocean out before us

And the horizon in our reach

We're looking at the water

But the beautiful view is you

You're strong-willed and determined

And you always see things through

Jesse, hear my promise

When the skies are blue or gray

No matter what this life may bring

I will love you every day
