Kelvin

Long before the vows were spoken

You were the one who heard my soul

A listening ear when words were broken

A gentle grace that made me whole

Through every season, through the changing weather

Kelvin, we have walked this road together

Oh, I thank the Lord for the man you are

My steady rock, my guiding star

You pour your sweat into this life

And stand as a shield against the strife

I count my blessings without end

For my protector, my husband, my friend

I see the heavy weight upon your shoulders

But you never let the shadows in

As the days keep growing older

You're still the safest place I've been

Whenever the world gets a little too cold

You offer a strength I can always hold

Oh, I thank the Lord for the man you are

My steady rock, my guiding star

You pour your sweat into this life

And stand as a shield against the strife

I count my blessings without end

For my protector, my husband, my friend

There is so much more that my heart could say

About the kindness you show every day

But I'll just lift my hands and raise my voice

To praise the heavens for my greatest choice

I will lean on you when the waters rise

And find my shelter in your loving eyes

Oh, I thank the Lord for the man you are

My steady rock, my guiding star

You pour your sweat into this life

And stand as a shield against the strife

I count my blessings without end

Thank God for Kelvin, my forever friend
